Difficulty: Easy - A nature walk that takes you along the Dooey peninsula from Magheraroarty. This is an ideal walk for all the family and is perfectly situated if you have a bit of a wait for the ferry to Tory island. There are a couple of options with regards to the route you take. Some begin their walk along the beach and come back via the sand dunes. Alternatively, you can complete this walk in the opposite direction, or just follow the route highlighted above. The sand dune route will offer you spectacular views of the Derryveagh mountain range with the 7 sisters standing out in the skyline. While the beach walk takes you along the coast, with Inishbofin and Inishdooey accompanying you along the way.
